If you love the textures and subtle colour tones of woven wool and love crofter’s style but want a new, fresh take on the look then take a peek at our Weaves feature p 69-75 Feb issue. A stunning wallpaper from Villa Nova at Romo depicting a printed weave (not shown in this image) was the starting point for our story and is surprisingly contemporary and dramatic when viewed up close but creates a subtle effect when seen from afar. These other designs (shown here) from Cole & Son and Brian Yates have a similar feel. We all love wallpaper at the moment and these make a refreshing change to florals.

Really interesting ideas bringing weaves into wall paper, I think it makes for a slightly more masculine room in that background grey – Ideal for a man’s study!
